How Much Will My Kitchen Cost Me?

We walk our clients through a design. They begin to envision marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, and tons of space. They can already smell the rich Italian food cooking in the oven. It’s nearing the end of our call. The client gets quiet and tentatively asks: “How much will my kitchen cost?”

It can be daunting to grasp the cost of a new kitchen. You want the best deal and the highest quality work. We want you to feel confident and excited about your investment. In this article, we’ll help you understand the cost breakdown so you can be comfortable when choosing who will create your dream kitchen.

Kitchen Designers vs. Manufacturers

Before we break down costs, it's important to understand the difference between kitchen manufacturers and kitchen designers. They both charge differently for one simple reason: A kitchen designer is the main contractor and arranges subcontractor kitchen manufacturers to complete the work. While this is a great option to ensure your kitchen is both beautifully designed and professionally manufactured, costs can skyrocket due to outsourcing the manufacturing.

Two in One at Maple & Stone

Unless you are expressly paying a fee for a kitchen designer with a clear and transparent pricing margin, designers can hide fees into the overall cost. At Maple & Stone, we take the best of both worlds where we have a dedicated team of professional designers and we manufacture everything in-house. So, no hidden fees and fewer overall costs.

Fair Value Pricing

Now. To understand how most manufacturers price, it helps to understand what you are paying for. At Maple & Stone, we use a pre-established standard price. Giving you a price upfront ensures transparency and eliminates confusion down the line. We are confident that what we charge is consistent and represents a fair value so our clients leave happy and assured.

Accurate Pricing Technology

Our modeling software (a computer program that simulates your future dream kitchen) is extremely accurate, right down to the millimeter. That's how we design and build your beautiful bespoke kitchens and cabinetry so we can effectively price every kitchen the same, taking out the guesswork. This means that when you come to Maple & Stone for your bespoke designed kitchen you’ll be able to rest assured that the pricing is both transparent and consistent with industry standards.

Okay, this all sounds good and well, but how much am I forking up?

We can hear you asking from behind the screen: How much will my kitchen cost?

Now that you have a clearer picture of standard industry pricing, you may find that you are more confident in comparing designers and manufacturers. Also, understand that most manufacturers charge basically the same as we all use similar software and price on the same raw materials.

Where price gets tricky is with the kitchen suppliers. One key element is the design. It’s possible to spend both $20K and $80k on the same kitchen in the same space purely based on design differences. Cabinet fronts, Hardware items, Stone options, and accessories can all widely vary in price. In some particular cases, you can spend $3000 on one type of stone and $25,000 for the exact same size in another option.

What’s Your Budget?

At Maple & Stone, we prefer to ask how much you would like to spend rather than present an option and tell you the cost. That's why when we engage with any new client we ask them to give us a ballpark figure that they would be happy to spend for the style of kitchen they have in mind.

The ceiling price allows our designers to leverage their expert knowledge of materials and work with you to create your dream kitchen. Sometimes it's possible to achieve a similar look to an idea you may have in mind for a fraction of the cost. This is what we do best.

We understand your vision and design your kitchen to meet your needs from a financial, design, and functionality perspective.
